Lowell Handler Project Updates
In spring 2020, Ric Burns' new film Oliver Sacks: His Own Life will air on PBS, featuring Lowell Handler and his photographs.
Oliver Sack's new posthumous book Everything in its Place: First Loves and Last Tales has a chapter titled "Travels with Lowell" about the time Sacks and Handler traveled together in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
The first film Lowell directed, Terefu and Her Children, is a documentary about a family of Ethiopian Jews living in Israel, and has been picked up for digital distribution worldwide with WGBH in Boston. It will go live in December of 2019.
